Barbara Ann  Thomas (Sutherland)
Barbara Ann Thomas, 72, a lifelong resident of Tilden St, Port Ewen, most recently of Ledge Rd, Town of Ulster passed away while in the comforting presence of her family at Regional Hospice Center in Danbury, CT on Thursday, October 5, 2017 following a battle with cancer.

She was born in Kingston, NY on March 4th, 1945, a daughter of the late Millard and Mary (Bilik) Sutherland.

Barbara was employed in management as an administrative assistant for IBM Kingston and Poughkeepsie for 40 years. She enjoyed quilting and knitting, cooking and decorating.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael Joseph Thomas, and his wife Kyla Bockelmann-Thomas of Kingston, and Jeffrey George Thomas, and his wife, Elisabeth Cascalheira-Thomas, of Alexandria, VA, one sister Rosemarie Delgado of North Cape Center, Lower Township, NJ, one granddaughter, Sunra M. Thomas, three nephews, Richard Delgado, and his daughter Alivia, of Saugerties, Joseph Delgado, and his daughter Emma, of Rochester, and Jonathan Delgado of Wildwood Crest, NJ. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Barbara is predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph M. Thomas, who recently passed on August 19, 2017.

The family will receive friends Monday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Kingston, The Rev. Lou YaYa, celebrant. There is no procession from the funeral home.

Cremation at Wiltwyck Crematory and inurnment next to her beloved husband Joseph in Mount Calvary Cemetery will be private.
