Richard John  Seiler Sr.
Richard John Seiler Sr., 78, of Petit Ave, Kingston passed away while in the comforting presence of his family on Thursday, September 7, 2017.

Richie was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 24th, 1939.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne, he was employed as a yardman for Woodstock Building Supply. Richard was also at Maple Block, Kingston.

Richie raised all of his children, but most paramount, were his grandchildren, who he absolutely adored. He was well known as a hard-worker who always took care of business "TCB". He loved his Harley and listening to Doo-Wop music.

He is survived by one daughter, Yvette Seiler-McCauley, and her husband Scott, of Poughkeepsie, five sons, Richard Jr., Scott, Darian and Keith, all of Kingston, and Wayne of Catskill, and 15 grandchildren: the Seilers, Burkes and McFev's.

A service will be held at 6:00 PM at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus on Monday, Sept. 11, 2017. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Cremation at Wiltwyck Crematory will be private.

In lieu of fresh flowers, the family suggests indoor plants for loved ones to take home and nurture in memory of Richie.
