Obituary for Eileen Shirley Parkes
A memorial service will be held for both Eileen and her husband Jim at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, NY 12401. Inurnment will follow at Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston, NY.
Eileen Shirley Parkes, 84, of Crossville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville.
She was born Thursday, May 12, 1932, in Kingston, NY, daughter of the late Alfred Henry Pfisterer and Edna Mae (Rose) Pfisterer. Eileen worked as a school bus driver and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Robert (Carol) Wilson (Florida), Wayne Wilson (Florida), James Wilson (Crossville), and Chris Wilson (New York); brother, Philip (Nancy) Stisi; and sister-in-law, Sue Shader. She is also survived by three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her son, Alfred Wilson; brothers, Fred Shader, Thomas Stisi and Edward Kain; and sister, Shirley Keefe.
Eileen's husband James Arthur Parkes, 86, of Crossville, TN, passed away suddenly, shortly after Eileen, on February 27, 2017 at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, TN.
