Clifford Joseph "Chippie"  Schryver
Clifford J. "Chippie" Schryver, 77, of Rym Rock Road, Town of Kingston passed away Wednesday, February 15th, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

He was born in Kingston, NY on January 30th, 1940, a son of the late Clifford and Teresa (Madden) Schryver.
A US Navy Veteran, he was employed as a machinist for Huck in Kingston for 20 years. A model enthusiast, he owned Performance Hobby Shop on Ulster Ave, which featured everything RC, including boats, cars, and trains. He enjoyed wood model ships, and was the proud owner of his '87 Monte Carlo SS. Chippie was the drummer in the well-known local country band, Country Skyline.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years Deborah (Lewis) Schryver, one son, Clifford Michael Schryver of Portland, Oregon, three daughters, Leah Smith, and husband Christian, of Hurley, Kelly Johnson, and her husband Martin, of White Pigeon, Mich., Linda Cupp, and her husband David, of Burr Oak, Mich., thirteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He is predeceased by one sister, Marilyn McManus.

The service will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday, Feb. 18th, at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus. Friends will be received at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Interment with military honors by Rosendale-Tillson American Legion Post 1219 will follow at Ulster County Veterans Cemetery, New Paltz.
