Obituary for Diana Lynn McPeek

Diana Lynn McPeek, 53, of Clay Road, Ulster Park died suddenly on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 at Albany Medical Center following a brief illness.

Diana was born in Buffalo, NY on May 22nd, 1963, a daughter of Judith (Fadeley) Faltisco of Buffalo and the late Edward Faltisco.

Diana enjoyed her job as a department supervisor for Kohl's in Town of Ulster where she worked for 10 years. She also enjoyed gardening and reading novels. When her children were young, Diana was active in the Mothers of Twins Club, Girl Scouts of America, and the Student Ambassador Program.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Jeffrey J. McPeek, three children, Michael, Becca and Anna McPeek, a grand-daughter, Marcilene Coddington, all of Ulster Park, siblings, Debbie, Jackie, Cathy, Sandy and Gregg, all of Buffalo, and Arthur of Rochester, NY, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Diana was affectionately known as "mom" to many who she considered her "adopted" children.

She is predeceased by one brother, John.

Cremation will be held at Wiltwyck Crematory.

The memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, Jan. 14th, at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus, Rev. Eugene J. Grohe, will officiate.

Memorial visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Diana's memory to a charity of choice.
