Gertrude C. "Trudi"  Stevens
Gertrude C. "Trudi" Stevens, 73, of Main Street, St. Remy, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 5, 2017.

Trudi was born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. on December 23rd, 1943, a daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Pine) Ackert, and raised by the late Raymond and Jean Pine.

She was employed for over 24 years as a certified nurses aide for the Golden Hill Health Care Center in Kingston, then following her retirement, was employed by the Kingston School District in food service for 15 years. Trudi enjoyed camping, casino gambling, and most of all extended time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving friend of 43 years, Donald Brockland of St. Remy, one son, Trevor B. Stevens, and his wife Brenda, of Ulster Park, two daughters, Leslie L. McCoy, and her husband Fred, and Jeannette S. Stevens, all of St. Remy, sisters, Joan Beaty, Shirley Evert, and Barbara Moore, Diane Greco, and Tina Murphy, brothers, William and Robert Pine, and and three grandchildren, Stephanie R. Drinka, and her husband Ryan, both of Colorado, Brandon C. Fairley, and Nicholas D. McCoy, both of St. Remy, and one great-grandson, Jayce Drinka. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus, on Monday, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.

A graveside service and burial will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at St. Remy Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Trudi's memory to a charity of choice.
