Michael W. "Mikey"  Pickens
Michael W. Pickens, 49, of Brigham Lane, Lake Katrine, formerly of Provincetown, Mass., passed away Sunday, December 11th, 2016.

He was born in Kingston, NY on April 29th, 1967, a son of Marie (Genther) Cook of Lake Katrine, and Clifford Pickens (Jean) of PA.

Mikey was employed as a bar manager throughout most of his adult life, starting at the former Tropical Inn in Port Ewen, and various establishments in Provincetown, Mass., including the Atlantic House and George's Pizza.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Eileen Pickens, and Nancy Green (Gary), both of Lake Katrine, two brothers, Steven Grim (Marie) of PA, and Clifford Pickens (Debbie) of Illinois, very dear friends, Jeffrey Pickens and Donn Eigo, and his beloved puggle "Roxy". Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

He is predeceased by his stepfather, Robert C. "Cookie" Cook, and nephew Bruce Drechsler.

Cremation held at Wiltwyck Crematory, Kingston.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016 at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus, Rev. Arlene Dawber will officiate. Memorial visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
