Obituary for Alessandro Colalillo MD
Alessandro Colalillo, M.D., F.A.C.S. of Logansport, Indiana died Monday morning September 19, 2016 at WoodBridge Health Campus in Logansport, Indiana. Born June 24, 1931 in Boiano, Italy, he was the son of Pasquale Colalillo and Maria (Quaranta) Colalillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Antonio. He is survived by his wife Mary; daughter Mary Antonina Saalweachter and son-in-law John Saalweachter of Rifton, New York and newborn granddaughter Margaret Elva; son Anthony of Baltimore, Maryland; niece Maryanne Colalillo and sister-in-law Carmella Colalillo of Mestre, Italy and many dear cousins in the New Jersey area.
A graduate of the University of Naples Medical School, Naples, Italy, Alex was a board certified urologist completing his residency in urology at the New York Medical College, New York City, New York. Prior to his urology residency he completed a residency in general surgery at Laval University School of Medicine in Quebec City, Canada. During his time at Laval University he was also an instructor in anatomy.
A Requiem Mass will be offered 10:00 am Saturday, October 29th at St. Peter's Church, Kingston. Inurnment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
