Mary Feigenbaum (Corn)

Mary was born in Heightstown, NJ on November 19, 1913, a daughter of the late Bernard and Dora (Berkowitz) Corn.

A child of the depression, she took over her brother’s Brooklyn lumber yard business in 1961 and successfully managed the business throughout many years.

An accomplished woman, she went on to achieve multiple career successes, including her financial administrator work at the Center for Preventive Psychiatry. After her professional career, she continued a full life of volunteer service for multiple organizations for the visually impaired.

One of Mary’s greatest joys was living with her son Brian’s family and experiencing up close the childhoods of her grandson’s Sam and Levi.

She is survived by two daughters Evlyn (Chava) Feldman and Deborah Rathjen, and her husband Keith, and one son, Brian Feigenbaum, and his wife Elizabeth, four grandchildren, Sharon, Amy, Samuel and Levi, and through marriage the addition of two wonderful granddaughters, Quinn and Jule, and two beautiful great-granddaughters, Mirabella and Gianna, four great-grandchildren, Daniel, Samantha, Jacob and Alexander. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Samuel Feigenbaum, her brothers Paul, Harry, Abraham and Herman, and sisters Frances and Rita.

Living with her daughter Deborah and husband Keith, she was lovingly embraced by the Rathjen family. The family extends a special thank you to her beloved son-in-law Keith for his patience, loving care.

A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 Sunday at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, NY.

Local arrangements are by the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park.
