Robert B. "Bob"  Dingman
Robert B. Dingman, 75, of Progress Street, Kingston passed away Monday, June 6th, 2016 at Golden Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Bob was born in Kingston, NY on November 30th, 1940, a son of the late Vincent J. and Evelyn (Nickerson) Dingman.

Bob was employed with Kingston Knitting Mills, Grand Union, and most recently Hannaford Supermarket in Kingston as a butcher for over 40 years. He enjoyed repairing small engines, a good cup of coffee, was an avid Yankee fan, and travelling to Wildwood. Above all, Bob enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Bogert, (Patrick) of Lake Katrine, one son, Joseph (Elaine) Dingman of Arizona, two brothers, Michael (Dawn) Dingman of Kingston and Thomas Dingman of Rosendale, one sister, Marjorie Dingman of Kingston; one uncle, Jake Nickerson of the Town of Ulster, brother-in-law, James Steuding of Montana, sister-in-law, Jeannine Steuding of Kingston, six grandchildren, Patrick (Olivia), Timothy, Kayleigh (Justin), Brandon, Collin, and Abby, great grandson, Gavin and his mother Molly. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

He is predeceased by his wife, Karen (Steuding) Dingman, one son, Robert Dingman, Jr., one brother Vincent J. Dingman, Jr., and two sisters-in-law, Helen and Cheryl.

The funeral procession will form 10:00 am, Friday at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, thence to St. Mary's Church, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be sung at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Bob's memory to: Joyce-Schirick VFW Post 1386 Honor Guard, 708 East Chester St, Kingston, NY 12401.
